What we publish

Plain-English guides to Nigerian documents, fees, deadlines and rules: what they are, what they cost at the agency and how to get them done. We write them to be useful whether you file through us or do it yourself.

They are general information, not legal or tax advice. For advice on your own situation, speak to a lawyer or accountant.

Where our facts come from

Every agency fee, rate, deadline, portal and legal reference in an article comes from one facts registry. Each entry records the source it came from and the date we last checked it. When an entry changes, every article that uses it changes with it.

We go to the agency or the law first: government websites, agency portals, gazettes and the Acts. When those are not online, we use analysis published by professional firms, then established Nigerian news outlets. A figure with a weaker source is flagged so writers hedge it.

When sources disagree, we say so and name both. The two 2025 tax acts, for example, give different turnover limits for a small company, so our articles show both until the conflict is settled.

Each article lists its sources at the end, with the agency’s own pages first.

Prices and timings

Articles never type Docufy’s own prices or target times. Where you can file a document through Docufy, the box on the page shows the live price and target time from our catalog, or no figure at all if the catalog can’t be reached.

Government fees in articles are the agency’s figures, each with its source. The agency’s own figure is final.

Independence

Docufy is an independent private service. No agency reviews, approves or pays for our articles, and we don’t publish sponsored content.

When an article covers a document we file, the page shows a box to start that filing. The guidance in the article is the same whether or not you use us.

Checks before an article goes live

Automated checks block an article that states an agency figure without a registry source, cites no government or agency source, links to a page that doesn’t exist, repeats another article, or makes a claim our messaging rules forbid, such as calling Docufy an official or accredited service.

Updates and corrections

Each article shows when it was last updated and when its facts were last checked.

Spotted a mistake? Email [email protected] with the page address and what is wrong. We check it against the source, fix confirmed errors and update the last-checked date.
