Track
Track your government filing in real time.
Every filing you start through Docufy has a live status — from payment confirmed to verified PDF in your vault. No chasing, no calling the agency. The status is the update.
Status pipeline
What each status means.
A filing moves through a predictable set of stages. The SLA clock counts business days and pauses only when action is needed from you.
Form started, payment not yet made. Nothing is filed until payment clears.
Payment confirmed. Filing is queued for the operations team.
Documents and inputs checked against agency requirements before filing.
Submitted to the agency by an accredited partner. Government-side clock is running.
Something specific is required from you. The SLA pauses until you provide it.
Agency has issued the document. Verified PDF is in your encrypted vault.
How it works
Tracking that actually tells you something.
Every filing has a timeline. Submitted, in review, filed with agency, completed — each stage timestamped. You see the same view our operations team sees.
When the SLA is about to lapse we chase the agency automatically. When a document in your vault is approaching expiry, we remind you — so nothing lapses without warning.
Every completed filing produces a verified PDF with a token. The recipient verifies at /verify — they don't need a Docufy account. You never have to argue that a document is real.
Independent checks
Tracking outside Docufy.
For some documents you can also confirm status on the agency's own public record. Here are the ones with a live public check.
A completed CAC filing reflects on the CAC public status report within 24–48 hours of completion.
Your NIN status and linked records can be checked via USSD (*346#), the NIMC app, or the NIMC self-service portal.
FIRS maintains a TCC verification portal where recipients can confirm a Tax Clearance Certificate is genuine.

Questions
Common questions about tracking.
How do I track a CAC filing status?
Sign in to your Docufy dashboard, open the filings list, and click the CAC filing. The full timeline shows each stage it has moved through. For a completed CAC filing, the status also reflects on the CAC public status report within 24–48 hours.
How do I check my NIN status online?
You can check your NIN status via USSD by dialling *346# on any network, through the NIMC mobile app, or by logging into the NIMC self-service portal. If your NIN shows incorrect details, the NIN modification guide explains the correction process.
How long does it take for a FIRS TCC to be issued?
Most FIRS Tax Clearance Certificates are issued within 5–7 business days when all three years of CIT and VAT are clean. The SLA clock runs from the point the filing is submitted to FIRS. If the SLA lapses, Docufy chases the agency automatically.
What does "action needed" mean in my filing?
"Action needed" means the filing cannot proceed until you provide something specific — a clearer scan, a corrected detail, a missing receipt. The filing tells you exactly what is needed and the SLA clock pauses until you provide it.
Can I verify a Docufy document from outside the platform?
Yes. Every verified PDF issued through Docufy carries a verify token. Anyone can check it at docufy.ng/verify — they do not need a Docufy account. The page confirms the document is authentic and was issued through Docufy.
Will Docufy remind me when a document is about to expire?
Yes. Docufy tracks the expiry of every document in your vault and sends a reminder when renewal is due. You set the lead time in your profile.
