Questions
We answer the obvious ones.
If it's not below, email us directly and we'll add it.
Who actually files my document?
Docufy operates as your authorised filing agent on each agency portal. We submit on your behalf using the same authenticated routes available to agency-approved agents. We never claim authority to give legal advice — for that, work with a lawyer of your choice.
What happens if my filing is rejected?
If the rejection is on you (missing or wrong information), the government fee is non-refundable. The service-fee policy for that filing band is published at the point of purchase. If the platform is at fault, both the government fee (where reversible) and the service fee are refunded in full.
How long does filing take?
Each document type shows its SLA before you pay — from 2 business days for an affidavit of loss to 14 for a driver licence renewal. You get a status update at every step. We hit our published SLA on 90%+ of filings.
How do I share an issued document?
Open it in your vault and tap "Share". Set an expiry (24 h, 7 d, 30 d, or never), add a password if you like, then send the link. Recipients can also verify the document's authenticity independently at /verify/<token> without an account.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Docufy is NDPR-compliant. Documents in your vault are envelope-encrypted (AES-256-GCM, per-blob data keys wrapped by a master key). Personal IDs are hashed and salted. Every admin action touching your data is visible in your audit trail. Our Data Protection Officer is reachable at [email protected].
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
You can request a cancellation before we submit to the agency. After submission the government fee is non-refundable. The Docufy service fee is refunded in full for any cancellation before submission.
