Questions
Common questions about Docufy fees.
Are government fees included in the price shown?
Yes. The fee shown on each catalog card is the total you will pay — government fee plus the Docufy service fee. Government fees are passed through at the published rate with no markup. The service fee is fixed at the point of purchase and does not change mid-filing.
What is the Docufy service fee?
The service fee is the cost of the end-to-end filing service — form preparation, partner-agent filing, queue monitoring, and the verified PDF in your encrypted vault. It is shown separately from the government fee at checkout so you can always see exactly what each component costs.
Can the fee change after I pay?
No. Fees are locked at the point of purchase. The only exception is if the government agency changes its own official fee schedule after your filing was started — in that case we notify you, and you decide whether to proceed.
Why do some filings show a "from" price?
Some document types have variable government fees — for example, CAC annual return fees depend on the type of entity and how many years are overdue. The "from" price is the minimum; the exact fee is confirmed before you pay.
Is VAT included?
Government fees are exempt from VAT where the agency is a federal institution. The Docufy service fee is subject to VAT where applicable; the checkout shows the VAT breakdown.
What if my filing is rejected — do I get a refund?
If a rejection is caused by a platform error, both the government fee and service fee are refunded in full. If the rejection stems from incorrect or incomplete information you provided, the government fee is non-refundable (we have already remitted it to the agency), but the service fee refund policy is published on the per-filing page.
